21-Unit All-Affordable Development Planned For Middle of Anacostia

An all-affordable residential development is on the boards for Anacostia's main drag.
Legacy Real Estate Development, LLC has filed plans with DC's Historic Preservation Office for a 21-unit residential development at 2100 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE (map). The three-story building will replace a vacant parking lot.

The Bonstra Haresign building is planned as having apartments that are one- and two-bedrooms and affordable at 60% median area income. If all goes according to plan, the developers hope to break ground in the latter half of 2024.
