If you are interested in living just down the street from Jeff Bezos' DC abode, a home on the market at a lofty asking price could be your chance.
A six-bedroom mansion, originally built 100 years ago for the former chair of the Federal Reserve Adolf Miller, hit the market on Tuesday for $18.5 million with Jonathan Taylor of TTR Sotheby's International Realty. The asking price makes the Kalorama home (map) one of the priciest on the market in the city.

The 13,000 square-foot property, most recently owned by the diplomat Esther Coopersmith, has a red-brick and limestone façade, large rooms meant for entertaining, and an expansive terrace and tiered back patio, complete with a fountain, pool, and surrounding gardens.
The listing sits about a block away from the former Textile Museum, which Jeff Bezos purchased for $19 million in 2015 and then renovated extensively as his DC home.
