Dorchester House
A new 125-unit apartment building is on the boards for Kalorama Road between 16th Street and 17th Street NW.
The new project will be constructed in the parking lot adjacent to the Dorchester House at 2480 16th Street NW (map), and it appears that it could be an extension of the Dorchester House. Details about the building are sparse at the moment, but we hear that it will have approximately 125 rental units and two levels of underground parking. While there is no firm timeline, Dorchester House residents who use the lot have been told they will need to find other parking accommodations as of October 1, an indication that ground will be broken soon after that.
Stay tuned for more information.
