$10 Million Forest Hills Estate Finds Buyer in Under a Month
3134 Ellicott Street NW
DC’s highest-priced homes usually sit on the market for months and take several price reductions to attract a buyer. That was not the case with 3134 Ellicott Street NW.
The massive estate off Connecticut Avenue joined the ranks of the priciest homes for sale in the District in mid-March when it was listed by Washington Fine Properties for $10 million. The home went under contract yesterday.
Tucked away in Forest Hills (map), we noted that the six-bedroom home might bring to mind Michael Corleone’s Lake Tahoe house when we wrote about a few weeks ago.

The Great Room.
After undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation in recent years, the home’s centerpiece is now a 34-foot-by-20-foot great room that leads out to a terrace and pond. In addition to a wine cellar, sauna, exercise room, and a very large pool, there is also a two-bedroom guesthouse and a three-car garage.
Foyer
There are still contingencies as part of the sale that need to be met before the sales goes to closing, but if things go smoothly, it will be a very fast transaction given the sales price.
