Zillow has launched an iPhone version of its loan comparison tool, the company announced on Tuesday. The Mortgage Marketplace app offers affordability, payment and refinancing calculators for home buyers as well as the option to get loan quotes based on information provided by the user.
To find out how much home one can afford, an individual inputs their income, debt and down payment information into the application’s affordability calculator. A chart is then created that breaks down mortgage costs versus monthly income and other expenses.

The application also has a payment calculator which crunches the numbers related to how much a home buyer will spend on mortgage principal and interest, property taxes and insurance. Based on the information entered, a button can be pressed which provides the user with loan quotes, without revealing any personal information.
