This week in What X Rents You, UrbanTurf looked in the $3,200 a month range and found a variety of choices for prospective renters in the DC area with this monthly budget.

Group House in the H Street Corridor

This home would be a fairly good fit for three friends who want to be close to the bars and restaurants in the H Street Corridor. This row house is solid and spacious, though the third bedroom is apparently tight. Roommate-friendly features include a back deck, several common rooms — a living room, dining room and a finished basement — and a nice kitchen. The house is available on October 1st, but smokers and those with pets need not apply.

Classic DC Apartment in Kalorama

This posh unit is in The Biltmore, a classic Kalorama building that went up in 1914. The second story unit may not have the park views that residents who are a bit higher up enjoy, but the fireplace, balcony, big rooms, original flooring and french doors are stately. On the practical side, there is an in-unit wash/dryer and parking is available in a private lot. The apartment is available immediately.

A Family Home in Kensington

A small family might enjoy this three-bedroom suburban home in Kensington, MD. With a very large deck, a cozy family room in addition to a living room, and a finished basement, the home has plenty of room to stretch out in, and the well-manicured lawn and mature trees will make life in the suburbs extra charming. UrbanTurf liked the woodsy feel of the street, which can be seen through the home’s many large windows.
