This week in What X Rents You, UrbanTurf looks in the $3,000 a month range and to see what choices are out there for prospective renters in the DC area with this monthly budget.
Sunny, Top-Floor Unit One Block from Big Bear Cafe
A few years ago, paying $3,000 a month for a two-bedroom rental in Bloomingdale was unheard of. Now, the neighborhood is seeing prices previously found in Dupont Circle. While $3,000 a month is still ambitious for this two-bedroom unit, its 1,100 square feet, top floor status, big windows, and location close to Big Bear Cafe and the farmer’s market are all pluses. A recent renovation revamped the kitchen and the floors.

Four-Bedroom Trinidad Row House with Period Details and Parking
This home is on the southeast corner of Trinidad, close to the H Street Corridor and Bladensburg Road. Certain elements — the kitchen, bathrooms, heating and electrical systems — have been renovated, but the period woodwork throughout has been maintained. While the house comes with a couple parking spaces out back, utilities are not included. The rental looks to be available immediately.

Three-Bedroom Home in Chevy Chase Near Politics and Prose
While the listing doesn’t reveal too much information, the photos of this Chevy Chase DC rental show a well-maintained home with French doors leading to a porch, a small but cabinet-rich kitchen, and a nice brick exterior. The home also has a finished basement, and is just around the corner from bookstore/coffeeshop Politics and Prose. It is available immediately for a minimum one-year lease.
