This week in What X Rents You, UrbanTurf looks in the $2,200 a month range and found a variety of choices for prospective renters in the DC area with this monthly budget.

Two-Level, Two-Bedroom Apartment Near Logan Circle
When a listing says that it is in a certain neighborhood, but fails to give an approximate address, a red flag should go up for potential renters. We mention this because this two-bedroom, 2.5-bath rental notes that it is in Logan Circle, but does not provide a legitimate map. That said, it could still be an attractive rental as it sits on two levels and has a gas fireplace, 13 windows, high ceilings, a washer/dryer and walk-in closets for each bedroom. Small pets are allowed, but smokers are not.

- Rent: $2,150 a month
- Bedrooms: Two
- Bathrooms: 2.5

One-Bedroom in The Policy in Kalorama
The Policy is a building in the 1900 block of Kalorama Road that was renovated about a year and a half ago. There is a one-bedroom apartment currently available that has a long wall of windows in the living room, a breakfast bar, dishwasher, and in-unit washer/dryer. The building has a bicycle storage room, and is about a 13-minute walk from the Woodley Park Metro station.
- Full Listing: 1921 Kalorama Road NW (map)
- Rent: $2,200 a month
- Bedrooms: One
- Bathrooms: One

Silver Spring Four-Bedroom Near Army Research Lab
This four-bedroom Colonial may be a good option for a scientist in the military. The home has formal living and dining rooms, an office, a walk-up attic, a garage and a good-sized front yard. The house also backs up to the woods, and we note that it might be a good option for a scientist in the armed forces as it is just about five minutes from the U.S. Army Research Lab.
- Full Listing: 10312 Parkman Road, Silver Spring, MD (map)
- Rent: $2,275 a month
- Bedrooms: Four
- Bathrooms: 3.5
