Under Contract: Listings with Rare Amenities and For Dessert Lovers
In Under Contract, UrbanTurf looks back at properties it has featured to see which were snatched up by DC’s alert buyers. The listings below are either under contract or the listing status has changed to sales pending.
Glover Park One-Bedroom With Rare Amenity
This 750 square-foot Glover Park unit (featured about a month ago in This Week’s Find) has an amenity that is frequently found in Chevy Chase homes, but not in condos — a screened porch. Owned by a couple that recently had their first child, the unit has also been fully renovated and has a good-sized living room, and small dining and kitchen areas in addition to the bedroom. The screened porch was perhaps the main selling point for the condo (which has a sale pending on it after just over a month) as it backs up to Glover Park itself offering some pretty ideal scenery.

Two-Bedroom Columbia Heights Unit For the Vegan Sweet Tooth
UrbanTurf featured this two-bedroom unit in Columbia Heights a few weeks ago, noting that it would be a good listing for a buyer with a sweet tooth, as it is located just down the block from popular vegan bakery Sticky Fingers. The unit has outdoor space on two levels (a balcony off the living room and a patio off the master bedroom), a large open floorplan for the kitchen and living area, and very tall ceilings. Parking is not included, but it is only a short walk from the Columbia Heights Metro station. It went under contract after about a month and a half on the market.
