Under $300/Square Foot on Capitol Hill

Our last installment of Deal of the Week has a sale pending on it as of earlier this week. The 1,780 square-foot two-bedroom plus den listing lies at the intersection of Capitol Hill, the H Street Corridor and the neighborhood that has been coined Hill East. It has a two-level floor plan with a large main level that includes a living/dining area, a fireplace and a patio, and an upper level with two bedrooms and a den, plus a balcony. We noted in the original post that there weren’t many condos in the vicinity with which to compare this unit, but that an 1,130 square-foot two-bedroom unit a few blocks to the west sold for $535,000 not too long ago.

Wide Plank Floors and Wood-Burning Fireplace in Logan Circle Two-Bedroom

1442 Corcoran Street NW, #4
We featured this two-bedroom Logan Circle unit two weeks ago in Best New Listings, although it was on the market last summer at a slightly higher price. Located on Corcoran Street just off 14th Street, the two-level condo also has a large living area with a wood-burning fireplace, vaulted beam ceilings and wide-plank wood floors, and the second level houses both bedrooms, a washer/dryer and gets a good deal of natural light from a large skylight. It now has a sale pending on it after nine days on the market.
