In Under Contract, UrbanTurf looks back at properties it has featured recently that were snatched up by DC’s alert buyers.

Four-Bedroom Rowhouse One Block from Eastern Market
A few perks made this Eastern Market rowhouse a bit more appealing than the average listing: two off-street parking spaces, and a basement unit currently occupied by tenants. With a sticker price over $1 million, the home found a buyer in just over a week. This four-bedroom was last on the market in 2008, and has been well-maintained with historic details like a fireplace and original heart-of-pine floors.

Dupont Circle Rowhouse in Need of TLC
Last week, we featured a few listings that would all fall under the category of “fixer upper.” Though Dupont Circle isn’t a neighborhood that is known for having many, this property appeared to fit the bill. The estate sale lacked interior photos, and the listing stated that the home is “in need of TLC.” With a price on the low side, at least one buyer was eager to take on the challenge; the home was snapped up after just six days on the market.
- Address: 1749 Swann Street NW (map)
- Price: $750,000
- Bedrooms: Three
- Bathrooms: 1.5
- Year Built: 1908
- Days on Market: 6
