This installment of Under Contract revisits three recently featured listings which went under contract in six to 29 days.
Six Days for a One and Den
This Lanier Heights one bedroom comes with a lot of bonus space, including a narrow den off the living room and a storage unit in the basement of the building. The interior takes advantage of exposed wood and brick pillars, which frame clerestory windows between the bedroom and living room and delineate the dining area from the living room. These beams are also referenced above the kitchen cabinets, some of which have frosted glass doors. The kitchen also has a pentagonal island across from glass floating shelves mounted on the tiled backsplash. The living room has a brick accent wall, and the bedroom has all brick walls. The bathroom also has a clawfoot tub beneath a curtain ring, and the unit comes with a washer/dryer. The whole package found a buyer in just under a week.

Nine Days in Aurora Hills
Located in Arlington's Aurora Hills neighborhood, this four-bedroom house sits on a spacious lot, two blocks away from two parks. A brick fireplace is central to the living room, which spans the length of the house and enjoys triple exposure. The L-shaped kitchen has quartz and butcher block countertops and sits on the other side of the formal dining room, where sliding glass doors beneath transom windows lead out to a bilevel rear porch above a stone paved patio. The house also has a bedroom and full bath in the basement, a spacious front porch with bench swing, and a long driveway to a detached garage. The home hit the market on a recent Thursday and was under contract nine days later.

A 29 Day Two Bedroom on Capitol Hill
Speaking of "narrow", this semi detached two bedroom on a hidden Capitol Hill block offers a vastly different lifestyle option than the comparably sized Lanier Heights condo featured above. The house has a small front porch, and just inside, a wood-burning fireplace faces the front door and has narrow shelving units recessed on either side. The eat-in kitchen has a brick accent wall, as does the skylit stairwell and one of the bedrooms upstairs. The house also has a brick rear patio with garden area. The listing found a buyer after just about a month on the market.
