In this installment of Under Contract, UrbanTurf revisits three recently-featured listings which went under contract in five days or less.

A Four-Bedroom in Brookland Gone in Five Days

Like the other two listings featured in this edition of Under Contract, this four-bedroom Brookland farmhouse found a buyer very quickly. The main level is arranged to the left of the entry hall, with a column-framed entryway separating the front living room from the formal dining room. The galley kitchen contrasts grey countertops with white cabinetry and leads to a breakfast room with a closet wall and triplet window, as well as a door to the garden-framed backyard with a brick-paved patio. On the second story, an open family room has a bowed wall and a set of built-ins. The uppermost level is split between two rooms beneath skylit cove ceilings, and the lower level has a full bedroom with built-in shelving and cubbies. The house also has a detached two-car garage.

Four Days for Mid-Century Modern in Hollin Hills

This five-bedroom is one of the larger homes designed by architect Charles Goodman in the Hollin Hills neighborhood of Alexandria. The house has a wrap-around deck and the L-shaped living/dining room has floor-to-ceiling windows covering opposite walls. The owner's bedroom has six floor-to-ceiling windows converging in the far corner. A rec room on this level has an exposed brick accent wall with a fireplace and firewood storage nook, with a wall of windows and glass doors providing access to a covered patio. The lush backyard also has a raised deck built around a few mature trees. The home found a buyer in just four days.

465 Square Feet in Logan Gone in Under a Week

This Logan Circle studio, which found a buyer in just five days, packs a lot of efficiency in under 470 square feet. The living area has a custom wall-bed unit, with built-in shelving flanking a Murphy bed. A glass door and a nearly ceiling-height window provide access to a private patio. A full-sized, stacked washer/dryer in the hall sits next to an L-shaped pantry, and a spacious walk-in closet/dressing room has a built-in vanity and is lined with built-in drawers, shelves and racks. One side of the bookcase on the bed unit opens to provide access to a concealed, deep storage unit. Both the bathroom and the kitchen are finished with marble, and the latter also has a Mahogany butcher block above the wine fridge.
