A Four-Bedroom in Brookland Gone in Five Days

Like the other two listings featured in this edition of Under Contract, this four-bedroom Brookland farmhouse found a buyer very quickly. The main level is arranged to the left of the entry hall, with a column-framed entryway separating the front living room from the formal dining room. The galley kitchen contrasts grey countertops with white cabinetry and leads to a breakfast room with a closet wall and triplet window, as well as a door to the garden-framed backyard with a brick-paved patio. This five-bedroom is one of the larger homes designed by architect Charles Goodman in the Hollin Hills neighborhood of Alexandria. The house has a wrap-around deck and the L-shaped living/dining room has floor-to-ceiling windows covering opposite walls.
