The new entrant for priciest residential listing in the DC region is quite the spread.
Domaine de Rêve (map) — which hit the market on Thursday for $35 million — is a 14-acre Great Falls compound consisting of seven parcels -- two sprawling mansions and five additional buildable lots, all offered as a single acquisition. Mark Lowham and Mike Mafi of TTR Sotheby's are representing the seller.
At the heart of the property sit the two mansions, each approximately 17,000 square feet and built by The Building Group several years ago. Château de Lune features an owner's suite with a private balcony overlooking the pool, a two-story walk-in closet, as well as a large theatre, wine cellar, exercise room, and expansive outdoor space. The six-bedroom, ten-bathroom Château de Riviere features a movie theatre, a home spa, and an oversized four-car garage, as well as a pool, waterfall, and fire bowls, all bordered by a private wooded setting.
Included in the listing price are also five additional two-acre parcels; Mark Lowham sees the eventual owner building out guest residences or homes for relatives on these plots.
"The estate compound is ideally suited for a buyer seeking to establish a multi-generational family compound — a place where children and future generations can live together while maintaining independence, security, and proximity," the listing description states.
Domaine de Rêve is offered only in its entirety, with no individual residences or parcels sold separately.
