The Kalorama home of lobbyist Tony Podesta recently sold, which means the Obamas will now have a new DC neighbor.
Podesta's five-bedroom house was listed for sale last summer for just under $10 million with Patrick Chauvin and Nicole Powell of Compass. It closed late last week for $8.2 million.
The 9,200 square-foot home was designed by architect Olvia Demetriou and has custom museum lighting through which Podesta used to highlight his extensive art collection.

Other highlights include a 15th century marble fireplace in the living room, a fully equipped caterer’s kitchen, a 9,600 bottle wine cellar, a wood-fired pizza oven and a 54-inch gas grill kitchen.
The home's new owner will live a stone's throw from the former first family. The Obamas purchased an eight-bedroom home nearby back in 2017.
