413 4th Street NE
This Week’s Find is a two-bedroom townhome just north of Stanton Park in Capitol Hill, and is one of the better alternatives to a condo we have seen in some time. The first floor is very wide with a floating stairwell that separates the kitchen and dining area from the living room. There are two working fireplaces on the main level as well as a built-in desk beneath the stairs that has a wood inlay work surface. (Another cool feature is that the front door of the home features a hand-carved eagle with a peep hole that doubles as the eagle’s eye.) Both bedrooms have large windows, and the master has built-ins and a separate seating area. The home’s back patio can be used to entertain, but it also doubles as a parking spot. More details and photos below.
