This Week's Find is a home in McLean designed by acclaimed architect Mark McInturff that certainly stands out from its neighbors.
The symmetry of the nearly 8,400 square-foot home is noticeable not only in the striking facade, but also in the large trees and square shrubs that line the drive leading up to the listing. The front entry features a massive reception hall, bronze privacy screens for the glass exterior and a Swarovski crystal chandelier.

The strategic absence of support columns throughout the five-bedroom home was achieved through the use of giant concrete slabs that help create wide open spaces with 25-foot ceilings. The architectural team subjected the home to commercial-grade inspection standards when it was built in 2016, which the listing agents tell UrbanTurf gives it a 300 year lifespan with proper maintenance.
A boat-shaped kitchen island with a wooden counter is reminiscent of the Mediterranean; the kitchen is also outfitted with Gaggeneau appliances and custom Boffi Italian cabinetry. The home is equipped with hydronic radiant heating and geothermal wells, and virtually everything from the lighting to the window shades are automated.
Out back, there is a travertine patio with a gas fire pit and grill station, as well as a saltwater waterfall infinity-edge, heated swimming pool that looks out on a creek. For the car lover, the home is outfitted with a showroom garage that can fit up to ten automobiles.
