DC's Tastiest Neighborhood Is...: Figure 1
Looking north on 14th Street NW.

Earlier this week, UrbanTurf conducted a poll of our readers to find out what neighborhood you think is the tastiest in this fine city.

The winner? Logan Circle/14th Street by a wide margin. The neighborhood, which will be getting at least 14 new restaurants in the coming year, took a clear plurality with 41.15 percent of the votes cast. A distant second was Penn Quarter/Chinatown, which took 21.38 percent of the votes.

Guys - How'd you miss Capitol Hill?? Barracks Row might have the highest per block ratio of restaurants in the city...

@vahoya Capitol Hill has a lot of restaurants, but I don't think the quality of those places live up to the neighborhoods included in the poll.

Exactly, I agree with Steph. I find myself getting bored with the fare at Capitol Hill, but constantly find myself in awe at what is happening in and around Logan Circle. The old and new establishments have so much to offer, and they do.

For quality, quantity, and variety: minibar, Cafe du Parc, Elisir, Tosca, Central, Jaleo, Rasika, Proof, 701, PAUL, Teaism, Zaytinya, Oya, Acadiana, Graffiato, Fiola -- and that is just a fraction of the total -- Penn Quarter should have won. Obviously we didn't because not only do we have fewer residences here than in any of the other neighborhoods, we are also workaholics and don't have time to vote in such polls, spending what free time we have eating out, going to the theater and cinema here or taking in a program or exhibit at one of our museums.

LOL, Penn Quarter certainly wins for most arrogant poster. Good grief. You are probably right about having the highest quantity of restaurants, though. I can think of dozens of chains and junk PennQ establishments that I would never pay to eat at.

So PennQuarter, you don't have time to vote in the actual polls but you have time to post ridiculous comments in response to the polls?? Shouldn't you be at the cinema?? Lame.
