The Best Apartment of 2019 for the Aspiring Muckraker
It's that time of year again when UrbanTurf reflects on some of DC’s most interesting real estate topics from the last 12 months. This week, we refresh your memory on some of the best, most intriguing and most peculiar things we came across throughout 2019. Enjoy.
If there was ever a year that it was appropriate for this DC condo to hit the market, it was probably 2019.
The one bedroom unit that Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward lived in during the Watergate years hit the market back in June and sold one week later. Formerly a studio, the 450 square-foot unit was converted into a one-bedroom about seven years ago.

In Woodward's book The Secret Man: The Story of Watergate’s Deep Throat, the reporter writes that when Deep Throat (Mark Felt) wanted to meet with him about the Watergate scandal, Felt would circle page 20 in Woodward’s New York Times and then draw a clock in the lower part of the page to signal what time they should meet in a Rosslyn parking garage.

If Woodward wanted to meet, he would put a flag in a flower pot on the balcony of his apartment at the Webster House in Dupont Circle.
