One of the most expensive homes on the market in Georgetown has found a buyer.

Like many homes in Georgetown, this listing has a storied history. Built in 1840, the property has been home to members of Congress and presidential cabinets and was once owned by F. Scott Fitzgerald's daughter Scottie.
The estate sits on a 30,000 square-foot lot, quite large by Georgetown standards, and the 11,000 square-foot interior is ripe for re-imagination. In addition to the main house, the listing includes a four-bedroom guesthouse, a children's playhouse, two greenhouses, a garden pavilion, a heated pool and pool house, and two two-car garages.
