Arts District Hyattsville
This Saturday, Pulte Homes will unveil three new four-level townhome models at Arts District Hyattsville, offering home buyers some of the best bang for their buck in the DC area.
In April, Pulte Homes partnered with residential developer EYA to complete the townhome portion of Arts District Hyattsville. The mixed-use development in downtown Hyattsville will eventually feature 315 townhomes and 35,000 square feet of retail space.
Located on the former site of the Lustine Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealership, the project has already reinvigorated Hyattsville's downtown scene. In fact, the showroom for the dealership has been converted into the new Lustine Center, which features a state-of-the-art fitness center, a billiards lounge with a plasma TV, a juice bar and kitchenette, a meeting room, and even an art gallery with studio space.
As for retail, what once was an area that had little in the way of restaurants and stores now has numerous offerings. Restaurants near Arts District Hyattsville include Tara Thai, Elevation Burger, Cafe Azul, Chipotle, and a new Busboys and Poets is expected to open in July. There is a Yes! Organic Market for groceries, and for those looking to spend their weekends checking out local artists, there are a number of galleries close by, including ArtDC Gallery and Design Studio Art Gallery. Residents of Arts District Hyattsville can step outside their door and grab a bite to eat, go for a workout or even get a haircut.
The three new townhome models that will be unveiled this weekend are the Adams, Blake and Calder. Each model has three bedrooms and 2.5 baths, and ranges in size from 1,546 to just under 2,000 square feet. While amenities like roof terraces, 1-2 car garages and designer kitchens with 42-inch birch cabinetry and granite countertops are noteworthy, the real selling feature of the new homes is the value they offer. The starting prices range from $359,990 to $449,990, making them some of the least expensive new three-bedroom homes so close to the District.
The grand opening will take place from 12pm to 3pm at 4501 Longfellow Street (map) this Saturday. A catered lunch will be served and, as an added bonus, attendees can register to win an iPad 2®.
