The former Absecon Apartment complex has undergone a complete interior renovation, and will open back up this weekend as The Shelby. Urban Investment Partners put $1.8 million into renovating the building’s 24 units at 1706 T Street (map), and all are now available to rent.
With the renovation complete, the apartments now have central heating/cooling, in-unit laundry and dishwashers, all new stainless steel appliances in the kitchen and the restored original heart pine flooring.
The Shelby is currently leasing units for start dates of May 1st, and it will be open on April 17th, 18th, and 19th from 9-5pm for potential residents to come and take a look. (Hot dogs, popcorn and refreshments will be served.) If you would like additional info, call 202-244-3811 or click here.
