Shaw's 880 P To Debut DC's Most Amenity-Packed Rooftop
880 P, the much anticipated sister property to Shaw’s City Market at O, will begin welcoming residents in August to one of the newest apartment buildings in DC with one of the largest and most active rooftop spaces in the city.
In addition to unobstructed views of the city, the amenities at the shared rooftop space are unparalleled in the city -- a pool and cascading waterfall with a sunning stone, an outdoor dining area, an herb “snip” garden, a 16-foot-long fireplace, a boardwalk shaped by trees and planters, a shared music listening space featuring a 1906 Steinway piano, and two stages.
880 P features 142 high-end studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. Apartments average 805 square feet, but include a handful of much larger units such as three two-story, two-bedroom “townhouses” with dens, and a two-bedroom duplex with 1,500 square foot private terrace space. Many apartments feature large private terraces with fireplaces.
The apartments have sleek interiors with modern finishes. Many apartments feature exposed brick walls with fireplaces, customizable elfa® closets, wine coolers, drawer microwaves, and sound proofing under the floors. Select homes also feature commercial grade engineered hardwood flooring, bathrooms with frameless glass showers and hidden drains, and kitchens with custom Italian cabinetry, Corian countertops, Thermadore appliances and large islands.
And the rooftop is not the only place where residents can find amenities. Other in-building features include a resident-only bar, massage room, a City Fit Gym and Spa, a dog park with dog grooming stations, a demonstration kitchen and even an espresso bar.
Set at the corner of 8th and P Streets NW, 880 P is located squarely in Shaw but also walking distance to U Street Corridor, Mt. Vernon Triangle and Chinatown.
For more information on 880 P, managed by Bozzuto, visit the website here. Most of 880 P’s apartments will open to residents on August 15th, and the rooftop will officially debut in September with a chef-driven charity event. Stay tuned to the 880 P website for details.
