One of Uber's self-driving cars killed a pedestrian in Arizona early Monday morning.

ABC 15 reports that the autonomous vehicle hit a woman who was outside of the crosswalk. The woman was taken to the hospital where she later died. Uber has pulled all of its self-driving vehicles off the road in Arizona, as well as San Francisco, Toronto and Pittsburgh.

"Some incredibly sad news out of Arizona," Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi tweeted on Monday. "We’re thinking of the victim’s family as we work with local law enforcement to understand what happened."

The National Transportation Safety Board has opened an investigation into the crash.
