The YMCA, along with residential partners Orr Partners and Republic Properties, recently presented their plans to the Arlington County Site Plan Review Committee for a new YMCA campus at 3400 13th Street N (map) as well as a new 374-unit residential building. The presentation of the new development, designed by Perkins Eastman, included some of the most detailed renderings of the project to date.
The new YMCA will be a three-story facility with a swimming pool, tennis and pickleball courts, nearly 52,000 square feet of recreation space, makerspace for children and 203 parking spaces across a two-level garage. The apartment building would be seven stories tall and have 374 units, with 295 spots across two levels of parking.
