Another conversion is in the works for Dupont Circle.
A Stanton Development-affiliate has applied for zoning approval to retrofit the interior of the five-story office building at 1312 18th Street NW (map) into a 15-unit "inn". The rooms would range from 260 square-foot studios to 600 square-foot one-bedrooms.

In addition to the interior work, an existing two-story addition will be replaced with an addition that runs the height of the building and remains mostly within the same footprint. Megan Downey is the architect.
The project would be just down the block from this proposed missing middle rowhouse redevelopment.
A zoning hearing is scheduled for May.
