The centerpiece of the redevelopment of St. Elizabeth's continues to come into focus with a handful of new images of the project.
The Redbrick-led development team has filed updated plans with DC's Historic Preservation Office for the five-building development at Parcel 15 at the St. Elizabeth's campus in Ward 8 (map), and the filing includes new renderings of the development.

The 650,000 square-foot project, designed by Adjaye Associates and Hickok Cole, will include a 178,000 square-foot office building, a hotel, and residential buildings with upwards of 300 units. At least 150 of the residential units will be affordable to households earning 30-80% of median family income.
There will also be an 80,000 square foot public park, as well as a commercial center with 30,000 square feet of retail, dining opportunities, and a grocer. A portion of the retail will be devoted to incubator space for eight local businesses, and the Jose Andres Group will provide support and guidance to the Chefs-in-Residence program.
The proposed design of the development, dubbed Sycamore and Oak, currently features curvilinear facades above glassy first floor arcades. Shared roof space will connect the five buildings.
In other St. Elizabeth's news, last week Mayor Bowser announced that Parcel 6 would be developed by Parcel 6 Partners. The planned development will include two new apartment buildings with retail and just north of 500 units, nine live/work townhomes, and a public park.
