Maryland Dominates Forbes' List of Towns to Live Well
AFI Theater in Silver Spring
Our friend Matt Woolsey over at Forbes recently compiled a list of “America’s Top 25 Towns to Live Well” and Maryland is very well represented on the list.
Only towns with less than 100,000 people were considered, and the criteria for inclusion ranged from the number of museums, parks, bars and restaurants, and cultural institutions per capita to various factors that were “indicative of a favorable business environment” like patents, venture capital funding, sole-proprietorships, start-ups and small businesses.
Below are the area towns that made the list and their ranking:
- Potomac, MD (#23)
- Silver Spring, MD (#20)
- Germantown, MD (#17)
- North Potomac, MD (#14)
- Rockville, MD (#8)
- Columbia, MD (#7)
- Fairfax, VA (#2)
