JBG Puts U Street Projects Up For Sale

Rendering of Louis
The JBG Companies is selling two of its anticipated residential developments in DC, UrbanTurf has learned.
Louis, a currently under-construction apartment project at 14th and U Street NW, and another project around the corner at 13th and U Street, which is in the planning stages, have been put up for sale by the busy firm.
Louis will have 267 apartments and, perhaps most excitingly, a 15,000-square-foot Trader Joe’s anchoring the southern end of the site. The project is set to deliver by the end of the year. The planned 134-unit project at 13th and U, on the other hand, is at a much earlier stage. JBG received approval for the development from the Historic Preservation Review Board in March. It is not yet known which shops will be filling the 15,000 square feet of ground level retail space, or how the sale will impact the plans.

UrbanTurf has reached out to JBG for comment on the sale, and will update this article when we know more.
