The days may be numbered for the Days Inn hotel in DC's Van Ness neighborhood.
Prolific DC-based developer Jair Lynch has the hotel at 4400 Connecticut Avenue NW (map) under contract with a plan to redevelop the site.
Representatives of the developer met with ANC 3F last month to share this news, stating that they were currently going through a due diligence period. However, it appears a new residential project could be in the works.

"The vision is for a mixed-use development with residential and ground-floor retail," Ruth Hoang, senior vice president of development at Jair Lynch, told the ANC.
In 2020, the Van Ness Days Inn was used for several months as a COVID quarantine site for the unhoused and others who could not isolate in their homes. Earlier this year, five people were shot during a party in one of the hotel's rooms.
Jair Lynch will be back before the ANC this month with more detailed plans for the new development.
