A few years ago, the high-end condominium Chapman Stables debuted to delighted buyers in Truxton Circle. The property is beloved for its historically-rich architecture and high-end designs, as well as its ideal DC location.
Now, one of the property’s premier lofted one-bedroom and one-bathroom condos has hit the market.
Unit 303 is a corner residence located on the second floor of the part of the Chapman Stables property that was built out of the former Coal Company Garage and Stable, by Studio TwentySeven Architecture (the project was a 2019 AIA winner recipient). The unit boasts unique details specific to this section of the development: exposed brick, 12+ foot ceilings and three, large, south-facing arched windows with views of N Street’s classic rowhomes.
The residence features ample storage, Elfa built-in closet systems, blackout electric shades from Hunter Douglass, durable oak flooring by Khars, a washer and dryer, a frameless glass shower in the bathroom, and a sleek, vertical walnut bike rack from Artifox. Unit 303, which comes with a parking space, is priced at $499,900, with monthly HOA fees set at $348.59.
The condo can be toured virtually here, and can be toured in person this weekend at an open house on Sunday, April 10, from 2pm to 4pm. Or get in touch with McWilliams Ballard Sales Manager Jordan Aquino at 202.251.2239 for a private appointment.
Originally built between 1906 and 1916, the historic Chapman Coal Company Garage and Stable at 57 N Street NW was used as a coal yard, a stable and a garage before it became home to the Brass Knob warehouse, which vacated the space in 2010. Renowned DC developer Four Points transformed the building and neighboring space into two conjoined, industrial-style properties with 114 homes and ground floor retail space.
The Chapman Stables courtyard joins the historic renovation with a brand new building.
Chapman Stables residences are infused with high-end architectural designs, restored historic masonry and classic finishes that bring the spaces to life and reinvigorate its storied past. Additional finishes include Bosch appliances, custom kitchen cabinetry from JSuss, Silestone countertops and Grohe plumbing fixtures, subway tiling from Porcelanosa, along with oversized energy-efficient windows. Each home also comes complete with a Nest thermostat and built-in device charging ports.
Building amenities include a front desk concierge, package room, community wide WiFi, a serene reading library, peaceful landscaped courtyard, and large rooftop terrace with Monument views.
Located in the heart of the vibrant Truxton Circle neighborhood, Chapman Stables owners are steps from some of the best dining and entertainment options in the city, including the exploding Union Market neighborhood. Homeowners can also take a quick stroll to popular eateries like Convivial, Big Bear Cafe and Republic Cantina, which is located on Chapman Stables’ ground floor.
