A new apartment building with an interesting shape is on the boards for DC's Brightwood neighborhood.
Plans have been filed with DC's Board of Zoning Adjustment (BZA) for a new four-story plus penthouse apartment building with 20-22 apartments at the corner of Georgia Avenue and Kennedy Street NW (map). The existing building at the site will be razed to make way for the new project.

"The second through fourth floors of the building will contain residential units and will form an 'H' shape to maximize light and air," according to BZA documents.
The development, designed by StudioMB, will also have 2,250 square feet of retail space.
