Last fall we brought news of a boutique apartment building, with tons of outdoor space and luxury finishes, under construction between NoMa and the H Street Corridor. That building, Aria, located at 300 L Street NE (map), is now complete. Move-ins started in early February and the property is already 50% leased up.
For the remaining 30 apartments, interested renters will want to drop into Aria’s grand opening party, Get Lucky at Aria, this Thursday the 14th between 4:00 and 8:00pm. Appetizers from Farm to Feast catering and desert from Buzz Bakery will be served.
The Aria will also host an open house this Saturday the 16th between 10:00am and 2:00pm. The property is currently offering incentives for those who reserve an apartment now and move in by the start of May 2013 -- make sure to ask about them. Model units are available for tours.
Located just three blocks from the NoMa-Gallaudet Metro, Aria features a total of 60 apartment homes with high-end finishes and abundant outdoor space. The ground level of this pet-friendly building is bordered by a large lawn and, to save on in-apartment space, Aria’s garage has secure storage for 40 bicycles. Off-street parking is also available for 20 vehicles for an additional monthly fee of $185.
One-bedroom apartments, averaging 680 square feet and starting at $1,900 a month, make up 80% of the homes in the luxury building. The remaining 20% are two-bedrooms averaging 950 square feet and starting at $2,750 a month. Apartment finishes include stainless steel appliances, full-sized Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer, Silestone countertops, and European two-tone cabinets made of white enamel and Tigerwood.

Each apartment home also features at least one, if not two, balconies—and the building has lots of additional outdoor common space, including a ground-level grilling courtyard and a patio wrapped around its 6th floor clubroom. The 1,000-square-foot clubroom, where each residence has their own beverage locker, will be the hub of resident social events. It can also be reserved for private affairs.
As readers of UrbanTurf know, the H Street Corridor is arguably the most dynamic neighborhood in the city. It is packed with bars (Red Palace, The Pug), restaurants (Atlas Room, Toki Underground) and businesses -- with more opening all the time. Just a few blocks away is NoMa, where residents have a Harris Teeter, and new restaurants and residences also sprout up regularly. Aria is situated perfectly at the junction between the two neighborhoods, giving residents access to the best of both. Nearby Union Station and the impending streetcar along H Street mean the public transportation options are plentiful.
If you are interested in attending the grand opening party, please email the leasing team at Aria@wcsmith.com for an invitation. Also contact the leasing team by email or phone (202-640-1618) for an appointment to tour Aria’s model units any day of the week, including evenings until 7:00pm on Tuesdays through Thursdays.
