George Stephanopoulos' Former Georgetown Mansion Sells For $6.1 Million

The former DC digs of George Stephanopoulos and one of the larger detached homes in Georgetown sold last week for $6.1 million.
1315 31st Street NW (map), one of just two homes on the 1300 block of 31st Street in Georgetown, hit the market back in February for just shy of $7 million. The home was listed with Patrick Chauvin and Brad House of Compass. Ben Roth of Washington Fine Properties represented the buyer.

The six-bedroom spreads out over 7,000 square feet, affording it large-scale entertaining spaces. In addition to a private patio and garden, other amenities in the house include a home gym, media room, elevator, and an attached garage.
Stephanopoulos and wife Ali Wentworth were the previous owners of the home, purchasing it back in 2006. Just prior to Stephanopoulos starting as anchor on Good Morning America in 2010, the couple sold the home for $5.45 million.
