Donald Rumsfeld's Kalorama House Finds a Buyer

Donald Rumsfeld’s brick-red federal-style house in Kalorama found a buyer late last week.
The home hit the open market for $4.495 million on July 8th, and went under contract after ten days on the market.
The house of the two-time defense secretary has seven bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms, a swimming pool, a conservatory-like “garden room.” As we noted when we first reported on the home being listed for sale, there are subtle clues to Rumsfeld’s ownership in the listing photos; one picture frame features a French World War I-era poster promoting the purchase of defense bonds.
