139 Thomas Street NW
Not too many homes hit the market last week as the holiday weekend approached. But this installment of Deal of the Week was one of the few homes listed, and not only caught our eye, but also the attention of some staycationers looking for a fixer-upper.
The three-level Federal row house sits in Bloomingdale, just outside the eastern boundary of LeDroit Park. The striking yellow facade opens up into a three-bedroom, three-bath home that, with its unfinished basement and bare rooms, clearly needs a little work. The property also has a backyard in need of landscaping, but the listing comes with parking for two cars.
The listing agent told UrbanTurf that the home was priced in order to “generate a lot of interest and help people feel they’d have enough money built in where it would make since to improve it.” With multiple offers set to be reviewed tonight, it appears that technique has worked.
