There are a growing number of neighborhoods around DC where homebuyers are paying at least $1 million for a home.
An analysis by UrbanTurf with data from Bright MLS found that there were 16 neighborhoods in 2024 where the median home price exceeded $1 million, up from 14 neighborhoods in 2023.

The three priciest neighborhoods in DC -- Berkley, Kent and Spring Valley -- are the only sections of the city where home prices exceeded $2 million. The next priciest neighborhoods in the city have median prices around $1.85 million.
Out of the 16 neighborhoods that made the list, there were just five where the median home value fell in 2024. Like 2023, that drop can be attributed to a higher volume of smaller homes selling in most of these areas compared to the previous year. A few of the neighborhoods that barely missed the million-dollar list include 16th Street Heights and Mount Pleasant.
Note — median price takes into account co-ops, condos, and single-family homes.
