Will the announcement of two new routes for DC’s Circulator bus system entice you to buy in a neighborhood you otherwise wouldn’t? The Washington Business Journal reported this morning that the new lines will replace undependable Metrobus service in certain sections of the city.
The Circulator is a limited route bus system focused on connecting areas in downtown DC. There are currently three routes:
- A line connecting Georgetown to Union Station via Pennsylvania Avenue
- The Convention Center/Shaw line that runs along the SW Waterfront
- A line that runs around the National Mall.
One of the new routes will run between Woodley Park and McPherson Square through Adams Morgan, Columbia Heights, U Street and Logan Circle. The second line will connect Union Station with Barracks Row and Nationals Park. Both are expected to start running at the end of March, according to the Journal.
