Construction Begins on 287-Unit Navy Yard Apartment Project

River Parc, a 287-unit apartment building in Navy Yard, started construction in recent weeks, reported Market Watch.
Located at 1011 1st Street SE (map), a couple blocks from the Navy Yard Metro, the Toll Brothers project (its first in DC) includes a mix of units, ranging from studios to two-bedrooms with dens, and will have a 179-space underground parking garage, a rooftop pool and a pet salon, along with other amenities.
According to the Capitol Riverfront BID, construction is estimated to finish up in early 2015.
The new project will be about a four minute walk from the recently-announced Whole Foods on New Jersey Avenue SE.
