Stunning Condos & Townhomes Coming to Old Town Alexandria’s Waterfront
History finds new life on the Potomac waterfront, as Robinson Landing prepares to open on November 4th in Old Town Alexandria.
According to archaeological records, 150 years ago the Alexandria waterfront was bustling with activity and industry. Pioneer Mill dominated the site and was the largest building in the city. Although the Mill was destroyed in 1897, its legacy of commerce continues: most recently, the Robinson Landing site was home to the Washington Post's shipping terminal.
Today, the site is preparing for a new beginning. Unlike anything currently in Old Town, Robinson Landing will expand access to the waterfront for public enjoyment and bring distinctive residences designed to reflect a rich history and modern future.
Condominium residences with floor-to-ceiling windows will frame panoramic views, and stately townhomes will face Old Town’s historic streets. The site is designed to blend graciously with surrounding architecture, presenting a classic facade with thoroughly modern interior spaces. Many townhomes will feature private elevators that rise to spacious rooftop terraces.
The waterfront promenade will feature green space and walkways available to the public. The design will pay homage to the history of the site with markers designating original shorelines, piers and railroad tracks that will provide visitors with a sense of Old Town's storied past.
New retail spaces will join the ranks of over 200 shops, restaurants and galleries already within walking distance. Visitors will be able to enjoy dining, shopping, and curated exhibits in a new art gallery—all at Robinson Landing.
Anticipation is high for opening in November, with sales to be managed by EYA. Twenty-five years ago, EYA introduced its first neighborhood to Old Town Alexandria, and has been a part of the community ever since. For more information about Robinson Landing, visit robinsonlanding.eya.com.
