Catching Up As 2012 Begins

UrbanTurf took its annual break last week, but that didn’t mean real estate news came to a complete standstill. For those that are curious what happened we were gone:

  • Mortgage rates remained at record lows for the second week in a row, making it look like 4 percent is becoming the new normal.
  • Pending home sales hit a 19-month high.
  • ACKC closed in Logan Circle, but Taylor Gourmet will open tomorrow just a few blocks to the north.
  • Construction on The Heights on Georgia Avenue, a mixed-use project at 3232 Georgia Avenue NW will begin this month.
