1,100 Square-Foot Two-Bedroom Plus Den in U Street Corridor

This 1,100 square-foot two-bedroom plus den unit sits about a block north of the U Street Corridor’s main drag. The condo has a gas fireplace in a living room that has both a number of large windows as well as a glass door that leads out to a balcony. The monthly fees may look a little steep, but they pay for, among other things, a building gym, concierge, club room and a roof deck. The listing price includes a garage parking spot.

MacArthur Boulevard Three-Bedroom Townhouse with Landscaped Garden

The layout for this MacArthur Boulevard townhouse consists of two bedrooms on the property’s top floor and a lower level in-law suite that has a full bathroom, kitchen and a separate entrance. The thing that caught UrbanTurf’s eye about this listing, though, was the patio and landscaped, terraced garden in the rear of the house (see above). A back patio and garden are not uncommon features in the Palisades and Kent neighborhoods, but the owner has clearly put in a good deal of work to those features at this house.

  • Full listing: 4833 Reservoir Road NW (map)
  • Price: $765,000
  • Bedrooms: Three
  • Bathrooms: Three
  • Year Built: 1939
  • Listing Agent: Laura McCaffrey, Evers & Company

Two-Bedroom Bungalow Among the Woods in Takoma Park

This Takoma Park bungalow sits tucked away among the trees several blocks southeast of the Takoma Metro station. While it has just two bedrooms, the home could serve as a good alternative for a buyer that is looking for something more than a condo just outside the city. In addition to a front porch, there is a brick patio and elevated slate terrace with a fountain that sits among the trees behind the home. It should be noted, however, that the eventual buyer will have to pay both annual Montgomery County taxes and City of Takoma taxes on the home.
