In this week’s edition of Best New Listings, we look at a Maryland Avenue condo with a rather unique floorplan, the developer’s penthouse at Delancey Lofts and a seven-bedroom Chevy Chase Village home with a wrap-around porch.

Maryland Avenue Two-Bedroom Condo With Rather Unique Floorplan
The layout for this two-bedroom unit just south of H Street NE will have its proponents and detractors, but UrbanTurf likes that the 1,415 square-foot condo breaks away from a more ordinary floorplan. The unit, located in a four-level Victorian, has bedrooms on the upper two levels, the kitchen and a seating area on the main floor, and then a rec room/living area on the lowest level, which leads out to a small rear patio. The interior has been redone with a stairwell that runs through the middle connecting each level, and the listing price includes a parking spot.

Two-Bedroom Developer’s Penthouse at Delancey Lofts
The four-level, 48-unit Delancey Lofts in Adams Morgan was renovated in 2006 with huge casement windows, 11-foot ceilings, and barn-door room dividers. This 1,300 square-foot condo was the developer’s personal unit (and actually has 12-foot ceilings), and after the seller purchased it, they enclosed the loft space to make it a more traditional two-bedroom. In addition to a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows (see above), the unit has the largest terrace in the project, which wraps around the exterior.

Seven-Bedroom Chevy Chase Village Home With Wrap-around Porch
This seven-bedroom listing is the type of home people think about when they hear Chevy Chase (not to be confused with Chevy Chase DC). It sits on four levels, has a manicured front lawn bordered on one side by a row of hedges, a large wrap-around front porch and a slate patio in back. The main level has rooms that flow into one another, ending with a large kitchen, and the largest bedroom — the master suite — has a sitting room attached to it.
