After a series of fits and starts, Barnes and Noble will return to Georgetown next week.
Washingtonian is reporting that the national bookstore chain will open its doors the day after the election. There have been a series of opening dates for the store, but those dates have been pushed back from June to July to August. Store manager Elisabeth Swift told Washingtonian that next Wednesday is the day.
The new Barnes and Noble location will be the old Barnes and Noble location. The bookseller is returning to 3040 M Street NW (map) where it was until it closed its doors back in 2012. As Georgetown Met noted in June: "Surely that must be a record for a gap between the time a store occupied the exact same location?"
