A year after the preliminary site plan application was filed, Arlington County Board anticipated to vote on the proposed development for the Courthouse Landmark Block.
Greystar is looking to rezone the commercial block steps from Court House Metro station (map) in order to construct a 20-story building, delivering 423 apartments above 17,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. The development would also convert the 10-foot stretch of N Uhle Street that fronts the site into a pedestrian-only "promenade" connecting Clarendon and Wilson Boulevards.

The development will provide 165 residential and 55 retail parking spaces across three below-grade levels, along with 410 bicycle spaces. Amenities will include a pool, a loggia and a business center amenity with "children's studio" on the second floor. Cooper Carry is the architect.
While the staff report on the site application is not yet available, staff does recommend that the county sell the development team the building at 2049 15th Street N (map) for $1,743,000.
The development will also include affordable units, electric vehicle charging stations in the garage, and public art, and the building will incorporate the historic façades of the Investment Building and the First Federal Savings and Loan Building.
The County Board will hold a hearing on the development this Saturday.
