Almost Always Above Asking: The AU Park Housing Market, By the Numbers

With the spring housing market underway, UrbanTurf is taking its annual look at the neighborhood markets around the DC region. Today, we head to American University Park.
Here is a statistic that may tell you everything you need to know about the upper NW housing market of AU Park: nearly every house sold in the neighborhood this year went for above the original asking price. This is the case despite home prices rising nearly 19% year to year. Home sales are down notably in the neighborhood in 2022, like many other places in DC, and that is likely attributable to a paltry three-week supply of homes on the market.
