Above Asking: A $125,000 to $160,000 Premium
In this edition of Above Asking, UrbanTurf looks at two homes, both of which sold for well above their listed price.

$125,000 Over For an Adams Morgan Penthouse
A buyer clearly loved that this Adams Morgan two-bedroom provided about 900 more square feet than the typical two-bedroom unit in the city. Listed in September, the home recently closed for $125,000 above its asking price. The 2,041 square-foot home has an open layout spread out over two levels with a large, updated kitchen and a wall of tall windows which provide a view and natural light. Both bedrooms benefit from the high ceilings and the master bedroom has a modern en suite attached. The unit comes with a garage parking space and a long balcony.

Inside this Chevy Chase bungalow, hardwood floors track throughout the first floor and the kitchen features similarly colored cabinetry and stainless steel. There is a breakfast bar that seats three, offering some eating space. There are three bedrooms upstairs and a large brick patio and small garden out back. Like most Chevy Chase homes listed for less than a million dollars, this one generated a lot of interest. We hear that there were upwards of ten offers and it sold for about $160,000 over the listed price
