The Best View From a Tub in DC

Plenty of listings on the market tout the views that they offer, whether it be from a roof terrace or a balcony. But no home on the market likely offers the view that this West End condo provides from the bathtub. A 1,500 Square-Foot Converted Pool House

There are pool houses and then there are converted pool houses, and based on the one above from a listing in Chevy Chase, we prefer the latter. Once a shelter for an indoor pool, the current owners of this five-bedroom house in Somerset renovated the space with the help of Barnes Vanze Architects. The pool house is now an amenitized living space with a bronze fireplace, a sitting area, a stone hot tub, a sauna and a kitchenette.

A Putting Green Over the Potomac

A 3,000 square foot penthouse on the market at 3303 Water Street has a feature that will appeal to the golf enthusiast. On its 1,400 square foot terrace overlooking the Potomac River, there is a private putting green. The green is set up with three holes and even offers a little bit of a fringe in case the owner and their guests prefer to practice another aspect of their short game.
