Last August, a proposal was revived and remixed to bring a new hotel to the former site of Georgetown's Latham Hotel. Now, the concept has a new, arch-free architectural design.
Thor Equities is proposing a 100-room hotel with retail and restaurant space at 3000 M Street NW (map). Winstanley Architects is further emphasizing the "episodic streetscape" with the new design.

The development will also require a planned unit development (PUD) application with a map amendment. A 10-story, 88-room hotel above three stories of retail was previously approved before plans evolved to an 8-story, 256-room hotel above a single story of retail.
The Old Georgetown Board will review the proposal tomorrow. Additional renderings are below.
