A nine-unit condo project is planned for the Adams Morgan building that is home to the Latino Economic Development Corporation, UrbanTurf has learned.
Square 134 Architects has been developing a preliminary plan to turn the four-story building at 2316 18th Street NW (map) into a nine-unit building. After a significant demolition, the plan is to build two one-bedroom units per floor on the first three levels, and two, two-story one-bedrooms, as well as a studio, on the two highest levels. The top two units will each have a private rooftop deck.

The project will be presented to ANC 1C on Wednesday night. Last week, we reported that Adams Morgan may be transitioning from a bar-heavy neighborhood into a more upscale area. This project would be in keeping with that trend.
